K-FRIYAY: Playlist #1

Okay so I have been thinking about what to call k-pop songs that aren't necessarily a pop song. Like Mino's I'm Him, or Zion.T's songs, or Dean's songs. I've come to a decision that I am going to label k-pop as k-music from now. K for Korean and Music for music, which means music in korean language and sung by korean artist.

Today I will show you my Playlist #1. It contains songs that I like nowadays. In this post, and future playlist post I will not give explanation about the song musically, because well.. I don't know shit about music lel. It's just these songs sound good to my ears and have been blessing my soul ever since they came out. Check it out!

If you haven't heard of BTS (Bangtan, 방탄소년단) then you can thank me now. I came across this group well, 3 years ago before they debuted. I admit they're REALLY talented boys. Plus they have pretty faces and personalities (lol). They have already released several albums. The latest one is The Most Beautiful Moments in Life: Young Forever. It is a compilation of The Most Beautiful Moments in Life: Part 1, and The Most Beautiful Moments in Life: Part 2 songs also additional 3 new songs and previous album's songs remixes. Although their debut songs and albums are lit, but I highly recommend you to check out The Most Beautiful Moments in Life series (in korean: Hwayang-Yeonha, this is called the HYYH era). The series have so many amazing songs, and BTS packaged it in such a beautiful way. I am a bangtan trash #shame

By the way, you can also check out their MVs. The MVs from HYYH era are all connected to one another. It's fun to guess the plot.

• WINNER - EXIT: E

EXIT:E is not a song, it's an album. The album itself is GOLD. That's why I recommend you to check it out, because all of the songs are amazing. My personal favorite is Baby Baby, the title track. From what I know it's composed by its own member, Nam Taehyun who is certainly not your everyday kpop idol because in this album, he composed almost all of the track. EXIT:E is the first extended play, and I can't wait for the next album EXIT:X, EXIT:I and EXIT:T. I am happy just by the thought of listening to their albums all day.

Soulite is one of my favorite album of all time, for real. All of Hayi's songs are my favorite of all time to be honest. Seoulite is probably my most repeated album in 2016, not because of Hayi is coming back after 3 freakking years of hiatus, but it's because all of the songs are sooo good. The above songs are my personal favorites. Obviously I can't pick one favorite. If you haven't check Lee Hi's album out, make sure you do. Because her voice is just heavenly.

• VIXX - Dynamite

I don't really know much about VIXX to be honest, except the fact that they're 177cm-and beyond tall. Dynamite is one of my favorite song in 2016 because it has this uniqueness that only VIXX can pull off. On repeat all day everyday!

• f(x) - X

Don't you just love f(x)? I mean how can you not love them? Their latest album, 4Walls, is truly a gift for all of us the f(x) trash. The songs are all eargasmic and my personal favorite is the track X, which is Krystal's favo. I trust de unnie yo (she's my ultimate bias' girlfriend, btw).

YO THIS JUST CAME OUT IN MAY 30th!!! SM finally got their shit together. Just listen to all of the solos and group albums that come out in 2016. I mean... /claps. By the way, congratulations queen Luna on your solo debut! You certainly killed it. The album is lit. Luna's vocal lights my world. Thank God I am still alive.

• Saero - Lately I

I wanna thank JRE for picking this song as one of his favorite song of the year. If you listen to what I recommend previously, then you already know what kind of music that I prefer. I really like this kind of song, it's super chill and somehow calms me down when I listen to it.

I still have a lot of recommended songs for you to listen, but I think this post is getting too long. I should just stop right here lel. By the wayyyyy, I am going to use english for this K-FRIYAYY section from now on, because I feel a lot more comfortable talking about korean stuff in english. HOHO.
